Narrative

Since 2017, Miriam has collaborated on several narrative film projects with Zora Schiltz-Rouse and Sophia de Baun. Their projects have received support from NYFA's Artist Corps in 2022 and the NYFA's Women’s Fund for Media, Music, and Theatre in 2020. Their film "Filling Holes" received an honorable mention for narrative shorts at the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival in 2023 and was also screened at the Lower East Side Film Festival and No Budge. Their web series "Out There" premiered at the Berlin TV Series Festival in 2022. Both “Filling Holes” and “Out There” are available on No Budge’s streaming platform.

Filling Holes

Best friends, Sophia and Mimi, move in together for a new start after their lives were disrupted by the pandemic. When Sophia breaks up with her long-term boyfriend she realizes she is lost and lonely. She uses her friendship with Mimi and Mimi’s boyfriend Amer to fill painful voids.

Out There

Two alien sisters journey for the first time to their favorite planet Earth with hopes to go viral on the internet, but their father has other plans for them and their beloved humans.

Experimental

As a trained dancer who desires to be heard and seen on camera, Miriam finds video-making an intuitive and useful medium that allows her to explore her love of movement, visual compositions, and humor. Her solo work combines voice, dance, and music in ways that are funny, personal, loud, and sometimes uncomfortable.
